About Us

Sunburst, Inc. has been developing and testing superior thermal vegetation management technology and equipment while pioneering methods in advanced modernized flaming for weed control in a wide range of settings for nearly two decades.  Our innovative products are excellent for reducing reliance on herbicide use and other more costly or less effective alternatives.  Our equipment fits perfectly in the arsenal of tools for integrated pest and vegetation management (IPM / IVM) programs.

Sunburst was founded by landscape professionals with direct experience in a wide variety of management settings, including parks, schools, urban landscapes, agriculture, roadsides and railroads. We have a background in consulting to public agencies regarding the planning and implementation of integrated pest management policies and programs, as well as other specialties including weed science, forestry, landscape design, construction and maintenance. 

Development of the Sunburst technology and equipment evolved as a result of our consulting work as we surveyed the best tools for various landscape maintenance issues and then through a series of research and demonstration projects (e.g., roadsides with Oregon Dept. of Transportation, railroads with the St. Lawrence & Atlantic and Alaska Railroads and several university-affiliated agriculture projects).

As a result, we are confident that we offer some of the best and most advanced equipment available for thermal weed control.
